Newly developed 2-piece piston achieves increased stroke and connecting rod length while maintaining the same block height.
- The exclusive 3.0L crank is machined from high-end race grade nitride steel that is ion plasma treated to increase surface strength and toughness.
- In preparation for high torque, dedicated I-beam connecting rods with 36% increase buckling strength and a 22mm thicker piston pin were adopted.
- Various design changes were made to countermeasure against heat generated during higher output, such as, changes to valve guide and seat materials, adoption of sodium-filled EX valves, and pistons with cooling channels
- Dedicated 36-tooth crank angle sensor and crank angle sensor for V-cam improve signal accuracy in the high-RPM range.

Exclusive I-beam connecting rod with 36% increase in buckling strength and 6mm longer shaft distance.
Machined 2-piece piston
The two-piece piston have a higher pin position making it possible to reduce the compression height. This made it possible to increase the length of the connecting rods without the need for high decking. The extremely lightweight 313g pistons, have cooling channels for oil cooling.
